01About the role
We are looking for an experienced Wintel L2/L3 Engineer to manage and support enterprise Windows server infrastructure. You will handle escalated incidents, lead root cause analysis, and keep servers patched, secure and highly available.
This is a hands-on operations role in a 24x7 enterprise environment, working closely with network, storage, security and application teams.
02Key responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 environments
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and file and print services
- Handle L2/L3 incidents, service requests and problem tickets within agreed SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and implement permanent fixes
- Plan and execute patching, upgrades, server builds and migrations
- Manage VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V virtual infrastructure
- Monitor server health, capacity and performance, and manage backup and restore operations
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting
- Follow ITIL processes for change, incident and problem management, and maintain documentation
03Requirements
- 4–9 years of experience in Windows server administration in an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with backup tools such as Veeam, Commvault or similar
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- PowerShell scripting for automation
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support when required
04Good to have
- Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 or Exchange Online administration
- SCCM / MECM or Intune experience
- Windows clustering and high availability
- MCSA, Azure Administrator or VMware VCP certification
