01About the role
We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design, build and maintain enterprise-grade web applications. You will work across the stack, building scalable back-end services with Java and Spring Boot and responsive front ends with React or Angular.
You will be part of an Agile product engineering team, working closely with product owners, designers, QA and DevOps to ship reliable features, and you will have real ownership of the modules you build.
02Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Build responsive, reusable UI components using React or Angular with TypeScript
- Design database schemas and write efficient queries for relational databases
- Integrate front-end applications with back-end services and third-party APIs
- Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Jest or similar) and maintain good code coverage
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
- Review code, follow engineering best practices and contribute to technical documentation
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and deployments
03Requirements
- 4–8 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Hibernate/JPA
- Experience building and consuming RESTful web services and microservices
- Front-end experience with React or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns and data structures
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
